About Intel Scholar Program 2008

Participation in the contest is purely by invitation only. Select departments (Computer Science, Electronic Communication, Information Technology & Electrical Engineering) from select few institutes will be invited to send in proposals from students to compete in the contest. Topics selected by students for the purpose of the contest are to be confined to the list of Research Areas outlined herewith.

This year, the contest will see participants competing under two categories:

1. Category A: Open to 2nd and 3rd year B.E or B.Tech students
2. Category B: Open to 1st year M.E/M.Tech/M.S/Ph.D students

Phases of the contest:
The contest can be broadly classified into 3 phases.

• Submission of Project Proposals
• Poster Presentation
• Project Presentation

A team registering for the contest has to qualify through each of the above phases to make it to the contest finals.

Prizes:
1. Cash Prize for top 3 teams in each category
2. Opportunity to work or do internship at Intel *
3. 10 selected Intel Scholars to get M.Tech Scholarships *
